Stuck Out.

Something that stuck out today in class, in my opinion, would be Chris' story of his friend's death and it's anniversary.  It was definitely very serious and sad, quite different from how the class usually is.  What happened was tragic, and it reminded me of how fragile life is on this planet.  Everything is vulnerable almost all of the time and it's very easy to take life and everything it offers for granted.  When you think of how old the Universe currently is (~13.7 billion years) and how short the average life span is for a human being... it really puts it into perspective of what we are and how lucky we are to even be alive at all.
